Installation Options

Roman blinds may be mounted on the window frame, on the wall, to the ceiling, or on the curtain rod, depending on your window layout. Non-invasive mounting systems, called no-drill, are available and a perfect fit for rented properties.

Roman blinds mounted to the wall/ceiling is an ideal solution for large windows and roller blinds - this type of mounting is particularly suitable for roller blinds for larger window areas or balcony windows. Please note: When mounting on the wall or ceiling, it is recommended to place the mechanism at least 20 cm above the window frame to ensure the opening of the window when the roller blind is raised.

Mounting the Roman blind on the curtain rod is an excellent option if you already have a curtain rod installed in the room and do not wish to dismantle it. Mounting the blind on braces or a tunnel - the blind can simply be slipped onto the curtain rod, choosing either the braced or tunnel version depending on the style you prefer. A good solution for smaller roller blinds - for larger roller blinds, it is advisable to use a mechanism with a gear in an aluminium cassette, so as to ensure stability and comfort of use.

Care and Maintenance

Most Roman blind fabrics can be gently vacuumed or spot-cleaned. Some removable covers can be hand-washed or professionally cleaned — always follow the manufacturer’s care instructions to preserve fabric texture and colour.
